She was in her dark metal box as always. She sat in the small space, wishing her glass eyes were able to cry. Letting go of some tears would've made her feel better...Just a little. She had no more time to think because she heard them coming back. She winced, knowing what would happen next. They came over and opened her small prison, then each one grabbed hold of one of her arms. They led her to a room with steel walls except for one made of strong glass so they could watch her. She sat on the cold floor wondering what they'd do to her this time. She shut her eyes tightly, bracing herself for the pain of whatever experiment they'd perform.

Perhaps they'd fill the room with freezing water, to see if her blood would freeze. Maybe they'd heat the room to see if her blood would boil. Stick her with pins and needles to see if she'd bleed?

She shook her head. "No, think about after it's over, when they're done." These thoughts of comfort didn't help much but it was better than nothing. She felt the walls and floor begin to turn cold. She shivered, praying it would be over soon, her finger tips and skin turned a sickly purple-blue and the tips of her hair frosted over, every time she blinked her cheeks would be dusted with the frost from her eye lashes. At the moment she thought she'd freeze to death the room started to warm up again. The frost melted and she was left in a cold puddle, the door to the experiment room opened and they led her back to her box. They locked it tightly and left her there in the dark, all she had left to do was warm up from the flow of her own blood, running through her artificial veins.

The next morning they allowed her to walk around the lab on her own, this didn't happen very often but it was better than sitting in her cage. They were never around to watch her, they probably assumed she was dumb enough to be left alone for a while. They didn't know she had thoughts, and feelings, they knew they hurt her but they didn't consider her human enough to feel sympathy for. But then again, she wasn't human. She was nothing but a monster, a monster made by the hands of others for their own sick, and twisted purposes.

In the midst of self pity she decided she wanted to know why. Why did they hurt her like this? Why did they bother creating something they hated enough to treat in this way?! She was going to find out today. And she knew just where to look.

They always left the office door locked. So it was a bit of a struggle getting it open. But apparently one of the advantages of being part doll was that you couldn't feel pain as strongly so breaking it down was easier than expected. After she immediately started searching. There wasn't much time before they returned. She looked through filing cabinets, drawers, trash cans, she couldn't find anything besides test results from various experiments they had preformed. But then, while she was leaving, she heard a creak from the floor. A spark of hope ignited within her as she looked down at the floorboard she was standing on. It was loose! Quickly she pried it up and looked under it to find a hole in the floor with a box. She opened the box, inside there were several sheets of paper with writing on it.

Entry 1 "Teenage girl ages 15-18 found today. Was accidentally hit by car. Other than a few damaged organs and bones is in fair condition. Perfect test subject. Identification led us to family. Family was killed to replace bones and organs.

Organs used:
Heart from little sister.
Three rib bones from twin brother
Stomach from mother
Head and other parts will be replaced with thin wood but skin will be placed over it.

transfer almost complete. We hope to be able to re-animate her shortly.

She used to be a human..? With a life? A family? Not only was she the one being experimented on, she herself was an experiment! She wanted to read the rest of the notes, find out more about who she used to be, but before she could continue She heard the door downstairs unlock. Quickly she put the papers back in the box and replaced the floorboard. She ran back to the room with her metal box and sat down. She heard them climb up the stairs and go down the hallway. Then she heard yelling. Oh right, she forgot she broke down the door.

After they found out their test subject had done some snooping you could imagine they weren't very happy. For a long time they no longer allowed her to walk around the lab on her own. But that was okay, now she could be alone with her thoughts. Over time her emotions went from shock to self pity. Why did this happen to her?! What kind of family could she have had? What kind of life could she have had? These questions were all she thought of for a long time But then they turned to thoughts of anger. It was not her fault. It was them who killed her. It was them who killed her family. It was them who put her through painful experiments. It was THEM who locked her up in a box. The longer she sat there in the dark the more her anger boiled.

They finally decided she could walk around again, but they were always there to watch her and make sure she wasn't going into any restricted areas. She had Decided she would speak up a while ago but finally doing it was a bit scary. She had never talked before other than an occasional yelp of pain. But today she would. When the cage was unlocked she stood up as tall as she could and spoke. "H-how could you!" She said, her voice sounding odd and shaky. The two stared at her in shock giving her enough time to continue, "H-how could you d-do this?! I-I probably h-had a great l-life with a c-caring family! B-but then you had to k-kill me and them! H-how c-could y-you be s-so evil!?" One turned around and ran while the other continued to stare. She was about to say something else when she felt something hit her in the back of the head. She turned around in time to see one of them holding a metal pipe before falling over and everything going dark.

When she woke up she found herself tied to a metal chair sitting across from one of them. The room was cold an dark lit by only a single exposed light bulb. "Well then.." He said calmly. "Seems we've had a break through with you." His voice was cold. Almost inhuman. It made her shiver. "Can you say something again please?" He held up a little recorder and smiled at her. It was about as fake as a smile could be. She shook her head angrily. She refused to listen to either one of them. His smile disappeared immediately. He stared her straight in the eyes. "I'll ask you again. Say something." She stared right back at him and shook her head while gritting her teeth. He then took a knife out of his pocket and lashed out slashing her cheek. It wasn't very deep but she could feel her blood trickle out of the cut. He asked her again, "Are you going to talk now?" But again she refused. This time he slashed her right above her eye. The blood trickled down into her left eye making her squint. Her cuts stung but not enough to make her talk. "Don't try pretending you can't feel pain. We wired your nerves perfectly." He then smirked. "You know.. You should be thankful. We are the ones who brought you back to life." That made her talk. "Thankful.. THANKFUL?! AFTER WHAT YOU DID?! KILLING ME?! KILLING MY FAMILY?! TURNING ME INTO A LITTLE LAB RAT FOR YOUR "EXPERIMENTS"?! TORTURING ME?! I HAVE NOTHING TO THANK YOU FOR!" She was shaking with rage as she struggled in vain to get out of the chair. She then felt a hard slap against her face and she stopped to glare at him in fury. He shook the knife at her, "Now now, yelling at me will get you no where. But I am happy you finally said something. I'll be back tomorrow but for now you stay here." He then got up and walked away leaving her there. The moment the door closed behind him she broke down in a teary mess of loathing and self pity. Unproductive, yes, but there was nothing else she could have done. In the very end, no matter how many fake veins, wooden hands, or glass eyes she had, she was still just a teenager in a seemingly hopeless situation. She stopped crying and cursed at herself for acting like a child. She needed to come up with a plan. She looked closely at the rope around her feet and felt the rope around her wrists.

A little before dawn he came back smiling like an idiot. She growled, "I can't wait to wipe that ugly smile off his face." She had spent all night rubbing the ropes and pulling at them until her skin was raw from the friction. Finally the ropes had loosened enough to slip through them. She had to keep the rope on for her plan to work though. He sat across from her. "Can you say something please?" He asked. She shook her head angrily. He frowned and asked her to speak again. And once again she refused. He took out the knife ready to slash her face again but before the knife could touch her skin she slipped one hand out of the ropes then reached out and grabbed his hand and the knife. Before he could react she slipped her other hand out of them and grabbed the knife. Quickly she jabbed the knife at him stabbing him right in the eye. He screamed and fell to the floor. She ran to the other side of the table and stabbed him over and over everywhere making sure he died. After she sat there breathing heavily and looking at the dead body. His blood was all over her staining her dress and soaking her hair. A moment after she gained her breath the door opened and the other experimenter walked in the room. He stared at her and the dead body for a few moments before running. She quickly ran after, her knife ready to kill. It didn't take long to catch up to him and tackle him to the ground. She stabbed him repeatedly in the chest. He put up a bit more of a fight so her right arm was broken but he eventually stopped fighting. She stood up and spat at the dead body. The torture was over. They were both dead. But she still had to get out of there.

She ran straight to the back door and opened it. She had never been outside before so seeing it was breath taking. It was so bright she had to squint, the air was so fresh it smelled wonderful, the sound of the birds singing and the animals running around in the thick forest surrounding the lab was incredible. But there was no more time to admire the new world she had discovered. She had to get out of there now, as fast as she could. So, with her new found freedom, she took off. Leaving that lab of horror and bad memories behind forever. But sadly, no matter how fast she ran, deep inside she knew some of the scars she had gotten in the place of horrors, would never heal.
Wow re-writing is hard! This took HOURS!

Thank you :iconxdeathofdestinyx: For giving me a few critiques on my work! I hope you like this revised version!

I am kind of proud of myself I think this is much better than the original

I'll work on part 2 some time but right now I need a little brake from writing.
